The e-mail message is not targeted to any specific banking institution and no specific bank is named. The message directs recipients to visit the FDIC website by clicking on a link within the e-mail message and follow steps to check their Deposit Insurance Coverage. This is a hoax and the links in the message should not be activated. If you receive this message, it is recommended that you delete it without opening or acting upon it.
